He is currently in the Travis County Jail and charged with attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He has been placed under a $250,000 cash bond, meaning he must come up with the full amount to be released.
In a press conference Thursday afternoon, Chief Acevedo said he believes Johnson is responsible for majority of the rock throwings over the last two years.
Chief Acevedo said after many of the incidents, Johnson came back to the scene acting as a Good Samaritan and sometimes contacted media.
UTPD dashcam footage of a rock thrown at officer's car led APD to Johnson. Johnson then admitted to throwing rocks twice. His roommate also says he was in the car when Johnson threw rocks on I-35 on two separate times, police say.
Chief Acevedo says they plan to have attempted murder charges filed against Johnson soon

We have to begin rock registration right now! FOR THE CHILDREN. “If it even saves just one child”. The pResident needs to demand fifteen trillion dollars from Congress so we can be sure no one who should not be allowed can get their hands on rocks again.
Especially those assault rocks, and those dirt clods, too.

Considering that he could have killed somebody or seriously injured and crippled them for life, I have no sympathy for him.
At least charge him with multiple counts of attempted murder.
And, as Democrats go, he sounds like one of the good guys. Oy vey!
First time, record his name. Possible person of interest. Second time, most likely suspect. Third time - if you still believe in coincidences, go into another line of work.
Had no one been driving on the highway, he would not have been compelled to throw the rocks.

Interesting article behind the link. They arrested the wrong man earlier, but the rock throwing continued.
