I like your idea of the option of a private place. But a bathroom seems a little... unappetizing.

Whenever I nursed my baby at a public eatery, I usually could find a corner booth where I was facing the back wall. Clean, calm, private, relaxing and I could order snacks. Never had the slightest problem.

My husband is a former wrestling coach-I nursed the first babies in every high school bathroom in the area. It just didn’t seem right to feed them in the bleachers surrounded by high school kids, even with a blanket. It wasn’t the worst thing in the world. Another mom told me she fed her babies in dressing rooms when shopping; private, clean and a place to sit.

Once you have four or more kids with you there is no place to hide discreetly. The vehicle became the feeding room. Pain in the neck but the preschoolers could be loud without drawing attention to us.

The mom in the article had my support until she was quoted as telling him to “walk the f*** away”. Somehow I doubt discretion is a priority for her.
