I think the swimming area is designated by the Newport Beach Lifeguard Association for Master Swimmers.

There was a life guard boat nearby and some other swimmers. Her excellent physical condition is one reason she survives.

The shark bit her once and then released her, with a lot of puncture wounds to the bone, a sucking chest wound, tissue loss on her arm, and a lot of blood.

The sharks were pups last year. It’s only now that they are big enough to start eating people. Stay tuned, the fun is just beginning.

Not fun! We fished off shore 100 miles or more in the Gulf of Mexico for quite a few years. We caught some sharks and saw others, can't imagine the horror of being attacked by one!
