I think the whole “gay” angle is being trotted out to take focus off the fact this was an Islamic terror attack on U.S. soil.

You have to face the fact that muslims are all gay, and even moreso the radical islamic terrorists types. It's impossible to dissociate muslim culture from gayness. Even thee ISIS members who murder gays have taken turns raping their victims before killing them. It's just the way they are, so Omar's gayness comes as no surprise at all.

That is one aspect of ISIS the news industry has completely ignored in spite of the fact it's staring us in the face. They'll talk of them throwing gays off buildings, stoning gays and so on but nobody-nobody-points out that homosexuality is universally practiced in the moslem world.

They'll call it pedophilia or what have you as if the two are mutually exclusive.

While I’m sure they have homosexuality like anyone else, I think the sexual repression is more of an issue. Imagine moving from a culture where women are completely wrapped in bags to one where some dress like streetwalkers, and your family would never approve of you getting involved with the “streetwalker”. Their societies are very segregated in terms of gender; Muslim students described to me how they couldn’t get Muslim women to attend their social events because of social norms. In their own countries opportunities to sow their wild oats were very limited; they said you had to find a “troubled girl” (who had basically been disowned by her family for being promiscuous).
