I am now contracting for a medical device company.

If they upgrade the production computers, they basically have to re-qualify every machine to make sure it is still working properly.

So that shuts down production until it does.

So...literally... people can DIE because of this stupid policy.

It wiped my email address and gave me a new one.
Now I only get my old mail on my Android phone.
Oh, yeah, I get mail from MS though on the PC.

I could be wrong, but the last time I inspected a machine at a VA facility they were still running XP. It’s been over a year, but I still have some fuzzy recollections about it. I know the CIC was running on the ‘doze platform at the time so yes some people will be in a great lot of danger if their machine(s) suddenly “upgrades”.

I do not know if their current software will run on win10, not that u-soft seems to be greatly concerned. Pandemonium is the most likely scenario it would appear!
