WinX obsoletes your legacy hardware.
It's not just "legacy hardware" that it causes problems with. Computer-controlled machinery, diagnostic and analytic proprietary software needed for various specialized functions, and even Point-of-Sale or basic spreadsheet utilities many people need to run their businesses are also affected.
My CAD/CAM software, Electronics Laboratory and Spice Simulations, and specialized Data Acquisition and A/D controlling software simply will not run on anything past XP. I NEED to run XP to continue working with these and other programs, and I know many, many other people have become dependent upon the software they have come to rely upon over the years and being forced to change to a newer OS that will not support the legacy applications they need on a continual basis is not a viable (or needed) option at all!
