does anyone else remember how in the first hours and days after 9/11, just before it became undeniable exactly who the individual perps were, there was an outpouring from official Muslims and their sympathizers.... that (1) Muslims never commit suicide, and (2) Muslims cannot be terrorists....

for a little while there was that attempt to deny that 19 Muslims could had done the 9/11 hijackings.... bc ofc Muslims don’t do such things, we were told again and again

for a while the father of Mohammed Atta would try to pretend to journalists that his son must be alive somewhere, and could not have been one of the 9/11 terrorists
