Those are made into rat rods,I’m not a rat rod guy.
The end of the '50s produced some interesting single-year designs. Just recently I saw a beautifully done '59 Chevy Impala restomod. Updated power 4-wheel disc brakes, custom wheels, 4-link rear suspension with coilovers, no more leaf springs. The front end was lowered just enough to give the car a nice stance. Kind of like the '58 Impala Sport Coupe seen in American Graffiti. The '59 has that last little bit of the "Space Age" styling, with the fins blended deeply into the rear of the car.
I ended up in traffic behind it and rolled my window down a bit so I could smell the un-catalyzed exhaust.
You don’t HAVE TO make a rat rod! I saw a fifty six Crown Victoria in Myrtle beach in February that looked like it just rolled out of the factory. Two door pink and white with a Continental kit.
