depends on what one considered cheap.
59 & 60 chevys were alike.

The 58 was a first year, one year model plus the first year of the Impala - and has always commanded higher prices.

I have a lot of early memories of kewl cars in the family.

One if my uncles had a 59 Chevy (Biscayne I think - no power steering, stick) and he had 6 kids plus a dog and his wife in that car. Bench seats made some of that happen, but it was mostly a lotta laps. No seat belts, no child seats...

Another uncle had a 58 Impala new in 58. I had the privilege of going to Sears with him to have his clear, plastic seat covers put in.(I have no idea why).
This uncle was a NASCA\Racing fan and hard core Chevy guy to the end. His kids carry on the tradition and are hard core re-builders of old cars.

Another uncle had 48 Nash that he traded in on 1955 Bel Air - stick . That was the car in which he taught me how to drive. He also had a 63 Chevy Impala convertible.
A 65 Mustang with a Pony Package(whatever that was)

Fond memories.

The prettiest girl in my High School class drove a 63 Impala convertible.

We had to give a speech in one class in which we described how to do something. Her speech was how to put up (and I guess down) the top on a 1963 Chevy Impala.
