The question you raise is were her parents naturalized as U.S. citizens before her birth? Both her parents immigrated to Canada where her father earned his PhD at the University of British Columbia. Her parents moved to South Carolina in 1969, where her father taught as a professor at Voorhees College. Both parents would have to be naturalized before Nikki was born to be eligible as a Natural Born Citizen. Because of this, I pull my recommendation for Nikki Haley.
