Great story! You should teach History if you don’t already. Analogies like that removes the young mind from focusing on strage sounding names, places and dates long passed; instead getting to the crux of the issue in a memorable way.

I didn’t imagine the story to be terribly on topic. That other post just reminded me of it so I posted it.

Now, “more” on topic, the Third Reich game has always struck me as not accurately representing just how denuded the German forces in the West were during the Sitskrieg when the French and English could have relatively easily plowed their way into Germany. IIRC Players of the full game must realize that when the rules say you have to have so many forces in the East for the invasion of Poland to know to ONLY have that much. I also remember suspecting, back in the day, that early Allied forces are also tweaked to insure the result.
