They know they’ve got a dud on their hands, so they’re trying to drum up a political controversy in the hopes that dutiful leftists will line up to see it.
I do not need one more thing in my life that is humorless and overly-politicized, especially if that thing is supposed to be light-hearted Summer entertainment.
Even if there is nothing overtly political in this movie (which I sincerely doubt), it has been ruined by all of this whining about how I HAVE to like it because they are WOMEN!!! Once they ring that bell, it is impossible to just enjoy the movie on the merits (if any there be).
Given the trailers that I have seen, there is very little to enjoy here.
