I’m not going to waste my time reading it as I am very troubled by the whole concept of the book. Regardless of what we think of Clinton, the Secret Service are supposed to be neutral, to be trusted, to be silent. Our presidents need their services and if left worrying about the confidences shared/explosed, the relationship is poisoned, and risks become very real. Trump needs to know he can trust the Secret Service, they all do. Very sad this former agent is squandering the trust placed in him for a few dollars of profit and 15-minutes of fame.

Whether right or wrong, government employees writing books is not new. Below is a book written about the Wilson White House by a Secret Service agent.

Starling of the White House; The Story of the Man Whose Secret Service Detail Guarded Five Presidents From Woodrow Wilson to Franklin D. Roosevelt Hardcover – 1916
by Edmund W. Starling (Author), Thomas Sugrue (Compiler)

Many media articles and books have been written by SS agents and other writers detailing the agents memories and activities with the Kennedy’s before, during and after the assassination.

To be the devil’s advocate: Presidents, Secretary of States, First Ladies write memoirs. These memoirs contain memories detailing interactions with other officials.

Is the writing of memoirs limited to only the elite?
