Long-time Clinton confidante Sidney Blumenthal refused to answer questions about his one time salary through the Clinton Foundation or Clinton's email scandal Wednesday, telling the questioner to go talk to his mother.
"You are a Republican tracker who has been brought by a Republican organization and paid to ask that question," Blumenthal said, crossing his hands while perched behind his podium. "So, could you tell us your name, the name of the organization that's paying you, and how much they're paying you?"
"And, furthermore, does your mother know you're working for Donald Trump?" he said and smiled.
The questioner had asked Blumenthal about his Foundation salary pocketing 325,000 to "preserve Clinton's presidential legacy".....at the same time serving as Clinton's unofficial adviser during her time as Secretary of State despite President Barack Obama's 'ban' on Blumenthal.
Blumenthal refused to answer the question.
The man pressed on and inquired about whether there was a criminal probe into Clinton's use of a private email server as secretary of state, despite Blumenthal telling the questioner that he was "done" asking questions.
The Clinton campaign has refused to call the FBI investigation into her handling of the server a criminal probe, instead using the term "security inquiry."
When he again didn't receive an answer, the questioner asked Blumenthal about his involvement in the probe. "Would you consider your emails to Hillary Clinton as secretary of state unclassified?" the questioner said.
"Would you consider your emails to Hillary Clinton as secretary of state unclassified?" the questioner said.
Blumenthal smiled and dismissed the man.
"Thanks, thanks for coming and go get your paycheck," (insinuating the questioner as being paid to ask the questions) Blumenthal said. "And please speak to your mother."
Clinton shrugged off the extent of Blumenthal's influence on her last May, saying that she had "many, many old friends" and that Blumenthal sent her "unsolicited emails."
