The first Star Wars spinoff, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is in crisis, and the movie will have to go into expensive reshoots over the summer, sources exclusively confirmed to Page Six.
The much-anticipated Rogue One is due for release on Dec. 16, but were told bosses at Disney are not fully satisfied with the first cut from director Gareth Edwards.
One Hollywood source told us, The execs at Disney are not happy with the movie, and Rogue One will have to go back into four weeks of expensive reshoots in July.

Sorry about the double post
Looks like hunger games / mad max in space.
Force awakens didn’t seem bad until the day after I watched it and realized 90% of it was lifted from the other movies.
Glad someone agrees with me. I love “Star Wars” and thought the second trilogy was pretty good, but this was totally re-hashed PC garbage. The music was bad, the villain was not well developed, and the scenes were EXACT re-dos of “Return of the Jedi.”
That said, I thought the trailer for “Rogue One” looked much better than “Farce Awakens.”
Or where Poe asks Kylo Ren after he gets the hard stare down, “So who talks first? You talk first? Or I talk first?” and then he did not have something very horrible happen to him.
No one mocked Darth Vader like that. This was about 8 minutes into the movie. Jar Jar Abrams is making a parody of the original movies, or he’s an idiot.
“Its the reality of war. Good guys are bad. Bad guys are good. Its complicated, layered; a very rich scenario in which to set a movie.
“It doesnt sound appealing.”
No it doesn’t, at least not for a Star Wars movie. People expect those movies to be escapist fantasy; not complicated, layered, or the reality of war.
Ren was underwhelming. I don’t even remember what happened to him. I guess he was on the other side of that crevasse and will be in a future movie.
I saw it on Vudu. First Star Wars movie I didn’t see in a theater.
They shall redouble their efforts!
Saw Insurgent and Insurgent 2. No more. Besides, Chailene Woodley is a liberal flake
Saw Maze Runner, but passed on any other sequals.
I'm done with the Fantastic Four.
I'm done with Avengers also.
I might see a sequal to Dead Pool.
Not going to bother with the new Ghostbusters. They can all just disappear.
There's a movie trailer I saw of "Suicide Squad." As best as I can determine, it's a multicultural mix of bad guys who are doing good things, I guess, with a hot chick thrown in the mix. Pass.
I would definitely see a sequal to John Carpenter of Mars. The Princess was smoking!
Holy Barsoom, Wackman! '-)
Perhaps for the same reason why The Force Awakens sunk faster than a frozen Morgana in The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea (on that note, I’d argue that, for a Disney sequel that may have rehashed the first film, it was actually pretty good, and certainly was far better than The Force Awakens in practically every area, including creativity I should add.), because they’re relying too much on SJW opinions and on left-wingers’ views, should I go on?
Honestly, someone needs to go take over Robert Iger’s post and actually fix the mess that Iger, Michael Eisner, John Lasseter, and Jeffrey Katzenberg caused in that company, get it back to it’s roots. And hopefully also fix up Star Wars.
Then again, even without the issues posed by the fact that we’ve got a hack script doctor and the whole pandering to SJWs, to say little about what the current leadership in Disney is like, I’ve also got issues regarding the movie, even though it stars a group I looked up to and its founding (played Rogue Squadron III multiple times), thanks largely because of George Lucas stating the Rebel Alliance were based on the Vietcong and that the Empire was based on America. And Disney’s run on the franchise has not exactly done much to alleviate that stigma (especially when Star Wars: Rebels had the Rebels actually raiding a civilian mining guild and slaughtering them for fuel. It’s one thing to do it to a military outpost, since it’s war, and that’s to be expected in a war, but doing that to civilians is below the pale).
Luke had Obi Wan and Yoda facepalming for two entire episodes, but she’s kicking butt with her new Jedi skills in about twenty minutes.
Yeah, and I have only one thing to say to Abrams and his views on Diversity and attempted implementation of it in his various films: Can it. We Autistics/Aspergers Syndrome types are barely even represented in films, let alone in a very positive light (probably the closest we’ve ever gotten to a film giving an accurate depiction of someone who is autistic is Mercury Rising), yet you don’t hear ME complaining about lack of representation there. Want to know why? Because I frankly don’t give a darn about representations about race, gender, sexual orientation, or even eccentricies, especially not in a franchise that was supposed to have so many types of aliens that color, gender, and even sexual orientation and having eccentric views is utterly meaningless. I don’t want to see films to “feel good” that my group is represented well. I just want to watch films to analyze the story merits and all of that, and also watch space battles. Besides, right now, we’ve got race wars and riots instigated by our current president in a cynical attempt at maintaining Democrat control, a broken nation that’s undergoing a massive debt, a lot of people dying and failing to even stop groups like ISIS, and the fact that North Korea and China are arming up and there even being evidence of Russia readopting Communism. The last thing I need right now is forcing diversity among cast members in a cynical attempt at coddling people.
And do yourself a favor. You really want to make sure you avoid being white and make the room “less white”? How about you take certain drugs that darken your pigmentation. Heck, how about you do what Robert Downey Jr.’s character did in that awful Tropic Thunder movie (you know what I mean, where he as a method actor went as far as to enter surgery specifically to turn himself black for the role of Sergeant Osiris). At least then, you can discard your hated whiteness (which, quite frankly, I’m somewhat sickened that you would actually hate your own pigmentation. I could care less about my own skin pigmentation since, guess what? It’s just pigmentation, no real big deal, I neither hate it nor love it, and quite frankly, unlike you, I don’t hate whites either.).
