My husband and I went to the Cincinnati Zoo for Mother’s Day. I would not consider taking my 6 year old grandson. Escape and climbing are his specialties.
Before anyone blames my son or DIL they better know all the story.
I’m sure there are things we don’t know about the child and parents and why the kid might have managed to get away so fast.
See pics of the very obese mother. She couldn’t catch anything that moved.
Little kids can just get away from you quick. That’s why
you have to watch them. - However, any extra fail-safes
the zoo needs to add; let them get with it pronto!
I’m just thankful that there was someone in charge at the
zoo that was a good shot & able to dispatch the animal with
the least amount of cruelty.
The whole story, or as much as I know of it, re this "family", is that the parents aren't married, they are both grossly over weight, and the biological father is a big honcho in a violent gang and has a rap sheet miles long.
I haven't ever been to the Cincinnati Zoo. I have, however, been to all of the zoos in NYC, Chicago and its environs, and the London Zoo. I also, thanks to my kiddo, know about captive primates, the training of them, and how to create the best possible spaces for them and keep humans out. And with regard to the last bit, supposedly the Cincinnati Zoo exceeded the regulations.
