Good. If the public school wants those students back next year, they need to show improvements and maintain those improvements.
The only thing that will ever really fix government schools is if there is creative destruction via the marketplace. Until then, expect high-cost mediocrity, or worse.
Well, it wont be with the LA Unified. I know more than a couple of students and they told me the same thing, that the teachers dont give a shiite. A bud of mine even told me in their school, every kid at competition is given a trophy as not to “hurt” the feeling of the losing kids.
It’s not the students. It’s the parents choosing Charter schools I stead of public.
Public schools should be the educator or last resort. Those kids that are expelled from private schools for discipline problems and whose parents are unqualified to home school.
