Bee’s release alarm pheromones that serve as a target identifier for a swarm attack. Decoys saturated with a synthetic version could serve to redirect an attack. A deployment mechanism that doesn’t further contaminate the user; and, possibly provides the user with a chemical deterrent to a swarm would be ideal.

or can of foam if enough coverage, etc. And if a hiker remembers to take something. In all my years, that was one thing I never worried about, was out a lot.

There used to be jokes about them in comic books when I was a kid, but it's no laughing matter. I've seen pictures of men who have allowed themselves to get covered by bees. It's so unnatural it looks creepy. I don't know how he gets them off. Maybe he sleeps with them.

I wonder if they detect chemicals of fear?
