Five Amish teens face alcohol-related charges after their 2001 Dodge Caravan was clocked at 110 miles per hour.
The teens were spotted Friday night while driving southbound on US 31 in Fulton County.
As the Indiana State Police troopers caught up with the van, the teens allegedly started throwing alcohol containers out of the vehicle.
An investigation found that the 17-year-old male driver was operating the vehicle on a learner's permit and had consumed alcohol.
Inside the vehicle, troopers spotted numerous alcohol containers, multiple cases of beer, and a jug of whiskey.
There were two female passengers, ages 16 and 17, in the van. There were also two 16 year-old boys in the van. Police believe all of the teens had consumed alcohol.

The best argument for why there should be a religious exclusion test for immigration, if Amish were prevalent throughout the world, how many of them should we import? I’d want to keep their numbers extremely low. Just like for Muslims. I ain’t saying they’re bad people, just that our society doesn’t need a lot of them. A few them sprinkled around might be cute, I guess.
They had horses . . . a couple of hundred of them.
Ayy!
Not to worry. They'll settle down and be semi-sedate once they join the church, have a family and start spending their weekend nights reproducing der kinder.
Imagine the pressure those kids are under to rebel, cut loose, do like the English kids do. I get it.
You’d be surprised at the ingenuity and abilities of Amish. They are pretty good at making things work very well, within the constraints of what their church districts and bishops will allow.
And I’m sure the kids intellectually know that they are far better off in the community than out in our sick, twisted, degraded, decadent, appalling society at large. But there’s still that urge.
Prayers for the horse
They know. Trust me. 95% of those born Amish join their church and stay Amish.
Man, the horse(s) are REALLY tired now.
Those feet look about as big as a dinner plate...the
horse I mean.
See those big horses around Scottsville Ky pulling
plows and wagons.Belgiums I think.
The horse was unavailable for comment:
Sorta wish I could join.
It was really the Amish this time.
If nobody was hurt I hope they don’t go too hard on them.
...Rumspringa, yeehaw!....
The church will pay for their defense.
"Circumstantial evidence, Officer! We...uh...found that stuff in the back and were taking it to the dump."
Well, I'd believe them.
Same here.
That’s one fast buggy!!!!
