It’s been my fear for years that they would perfect an easily mass-produced and smuggled consumer product as an IED. I thought it might be cans of shaving cream first. But I guess jihadis don’t use the stuff! I just thought the bottom of a shaving cream can would be easier to reseal convincingly. But J-B-Weld on the bottom of an aluminum soda can appears to have been sufficient. If they can be carried into Europe by “refugees,” or if they are being made in France, aviation is in big trouble. France is riding the tiger, they can’t fire all the Muslims in aviation as ground crew, etc. They are screwed, and we are not far back.
If it’s soda cans and they infiltrate the ground servicing crews then they can get their bombs onto a beverage cart.
They just have to have a sleeper onboard to make sure the bomb detonates at the right flight time and altitude and at the right location in the cabin to sever the electronics and set off the chain of events to,break up the fuselage
Francophone africans, many of them Algerians have had bottom tier airport jobs for several genereations in France. In 1968 during a plane change at De Gaulle airport, I saw that all of the baggage handlers, cleaners, etc were africans. So they have been embedded all along the package/baggage handling chain from arrival in country to regional and local distribution points country wide. Doesn’t take much imagining to see the utility potential there. After all, package handling is among the lowest paying jobs for the unskilled labor pool.
A problem here in the states as well.
