Yup, I hate it when this is done to cats :-(

I'd rather put up with scratched furniture than do such a thing. To a cat, you are God... treat your cat the way you would want to be treated if you were a cat.

People who declaw cats ought to be treated just like any other animal abuser.

Same goes for people who cut out their dogs’ vocal cords because they don’t like them barking.
