No it wasn’t rhetorical and I don’t think 1237 will shut him up or stop him for interfering.

At 1237+ on the first ballot, DJT goes from being the presumtive nominee to the actual nominee. And Cruz suspended his campaign but did not end his campaign. At 1237+ he'll have to shut up or go 3rd party, but until then he's doing just what practically every other candidate that suspends their campaign does - wrangle more delegates to increase clout at the convention.

Huckabee, Jindal, Perry, Carson Christie and Paul have endorsed Trump. Rubio said he would support Trump.

It seems to me they have the good of the country and the party in mind.

It also appears to me at least that Cruz, Bush and Graham are full of pettiness, envy and sour grapes. Cruz is the worst, he has an insatiable need for power at all costs.
