With the alleged demise of communism (actually the communists simply renamed themselves "progressives" and came here where most -- but not ALL -- of them became "democrats" and DARN if one of them didn't usurp the presidency and elsewhere in Europe and the world), the left needed another "Boogieman" with which frighten the masses so they could be more easily be herded into their lusted for and unattainable pseudo-egalitarian and Utopian "New World Order" (where some are "more equal than others", thank you Mr. Orwell!).

Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) now "Climate Change" drew the short straw!
