Radio host Rush Limbaugh used Wednesdays show to do an experiment on Donald Trumps supporters.
I found a YouTube last night, and Im gonna play this for you, and Im curious to know how Trump supporters react to this, Mr. Limbaugh told his audience before playing a 2012 clip from Fox News On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.
Mr. Trump said at the time that he thought Hillary Clinton was a terrific person. He also called former President Bill Clinton a really good guy.
Mr. Limbaugh then used his email account to gauge reactions to the broadcast by the billionaires supporters. He also asked listeners to weigh in on the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.
This is exactly what I was expecting, the host said after a commercial break. One reaction is, You know, this would make a great ad debunking how Trump is attacking Hillary because shes a woman. This can just get rid of all of these attacks that Trumps out there hitting her because shes a woman, that Trump hates her or whatever.

That really brings to mind what Trump has put on the line. If he loses the election he is going to gone after by the political elite of both parties. He already gets an IRS colonoscopy every year for asking Obama to provide his birth certificate back in 2011. Can you imagine what lengths a Hillary administration would go to destroy him and his family? This is not some genteel contest between political careerists that all go back to the same locker room after the game. They will want revenge. I'm sure Trump is totally aware of this too.
A veritable cornucopia of crap that you want to ram down our throats there rush.
Luckily rush, I've relegated you to paid GOPe shill status, with all of the credibility of josh earnest.
There are those who declare that Trump is not diplomatic. Be advised that just the opposite has been proven to be true.
“We really need to have serious exchanges here about Trump but it wont be possible.”
Why and why?
Trump is now the presumptive GOP nominee. The choice before us today is: a) Trump; or, b) Clinton.
Cruz is irrelevant. Kasich is irrelevant. Sanders is irrelevant.
Trump is far from perfect, but to most on this site, he is far preferable to the alternative. Any conversation about Cruz or Kasich is now a waste of time. Stop fighting yesterday’s battles.
Choose.
So, Limbaugh is now actively campaigning for Clinton?
The Rush to the dark side....
We all make choices in our life, some are minor, some or major, some change everything.
I believe Rush has made a choice he will eventually regret (or being a multi-millionaire mean you never have any regrets).
I appreciate Rush for the years he was in the trenches for the people, but I truly believe he has made the wrong choice now.
Yes....Trump has hit the ceiling, again ;-)
Bmk
Really I guess I did read it.
That says that Sternitzky worked for Premeire(sic) Radio Networks. Nowhere is Rush mentioned in the story - unlike Beck, Levin, and Erickson. Even at that, the story (and I do mean story) doesn’t show any evidence of any wrongdoing - it only implies it and admits that “if money is flowing to them, and they are not disclosing it, they are violating Federal Law”.
Wow, damning stuff indeed.
I thought we had flushed out the never trumpers from freerepublic. Guess some still around.
“More butt hurt paid liars grasping for straws”
So your saying that the video he played was a lie?
“He was A BUSINESSMAN at the time, and you dont get far in multi-mega-million businesses if you piss off the politicians.”
It is like buying protection from the mob.
No, not really, at least compared to the likes of Glenn Beck or Mitt Romney, I would describe Rush's support for Trump as tepid at best though. While he does go out of his way to say that Trump is better than Hillary, he also does of lot of stories that seeming undermine Trump, like he was doing in this story.
But so did iCarly. She was even more effusive in her past praise of Hillary than was The Donald.
I wasn't for either of them.
But Trump >> iCarly.
Cruz picking iCarly was not good.
“Its either Trump or Hillary...
Trump: Save America...
Hillary: Screw America...
What side of the fence are you on????”
I like that. Short and to the point.
One can find contradictions in just about anyone’s past. Reagan was a democrat and changed over time. Sometimes people in private life support people who have power over them and their livelihoods - like in Trumps case, he always said nice things about his NY senator and NYC mayors and even gave them money. People running in his social circles are almost all liberal for sure, and you have to be polite and get along. Now he’s a politician and all I care about is what he is TODAY.
Cruz was the second coming to many people, but he has actually helped shove through some of the most horrible anti American legislation, including reversing the constitutional approval requirements for treaties. And handing almost unlimited power to the most Marxist president in history. All of these things happened in the past couple years and are far different than a private citizen being cozy with some scumbag democrats.
“There was a time I couldnt imagine the talk radio world if Rush was gone. Now I couldnt care less...”
Expresses precisely what I have been saying recently. I use to think conservative radio was vital. I don’t anymore.
“”” But most intelligent people know that a prominent businessman saying nice things about politicians who can and do influence their livelihoods is nothing new”””
Zackly. You never want to piss off people who have the power.
Levin’s finacees son was also working on the Cruz campaign. When Sundance from Conservative Treehouse exposed this fact, Levin had a fit and tried to expose Sundance’s true identity.
I’m done with Rush and Levin and pretty much all of the others.
