You'll forgive us if we continue to use the term, to help us differentiate between those who actually work hard for rigorous border enforcement and those who do not, yes? Reminder, Paul Ryan said, late last year, "I do NOT support rounding up and deporting illegal immigrants". Ryan was instrumental in blocking an effort to reduce immigration in the 1990s. In DEC, Speaker Ryan ushered through Congress an omnibus spending bill that completely funded President Obamas still-running 2012 executive amnesty for DREAMers. gave federal grants to sanctuary cities, funded the resettlement of illegal aliens within the United States, the release of criminal aliens, and tax credits for illegal aliens... and yet that same omnibus failed to provide funding for the mandatory completion of a 700-mile double-layer border fence that Congress promised the American people with the 2006 Secure Fence Act. Ryans omnibus funded an expansion of immigration levels. Ryans spending bill funded an expansion of Muslim migration, and expanded a controversial low-skilled H-2B guest worker program. (Sen. Tom Cotton declared that this provision was a direct violation of Ryans pledge not to bring up major immigration legislation while President Obama was still in office.)
Among the Right, he is pretty far-Left on immigration, and thus we will use that label on him. Sorry, Ian!
Ryan also steadfastly refused to allow a religious question for immigrants, saying “that’s not who we are”, which of course allows Islam to continue its unarmed (for the moment) invasion of the West.
