Here’s the rules WE grew up with (pay attention):
1. Have penis: use men’s room.
2. Have vagina: use women’s room unless full. In such case women can use men’s room; at which point men use urinals only, while women are allowed to CUT IN LINE for the stalls.
3. Female with young vagina in tow: Use women’s room only .
Female with young penis in tow: Allowed to use women’s room, but must stay with child.
4. Male with young penis in tow: men’s room only.
5. Male with young vagina in tow: In most cases, can trust another female in women’s room with child. In not, may use men’s room in stall only, and allowed to CUT IN LINE to use stalls.

We are so far gone culturally that this is even a topic. But it’s not like the sane people brought it up I suppose.
I can’t believe that the likely candidates running in the general both seem to not grasp your number 1. If you would have told someone that 30 years ago they would have scooped you up with butterfly nets.

As a “Male with young vagina in tow”, I have been reduced to asking total female strangers to take my daughter into the bathroom.
It feels weird and wrong, mainly because our diverse society makes it a risky endeavor - I never know what the person is all about until they start talking.
In the 70s it would not be a moral or safety issue to ask a woman to help my daughter pee. Now it is.
