I seem to recall something similar in 2008. She won a lot of the late primaries even though 0 was well in the lead. Some noted that this indicated 0 was a weak candidate. Unfortunately that was wishful thinking from out perspective.

You are correct about 2008. Even as Obama got off to a fast start, Crooked Hillary clung to her super delegates and insisted that she would outlast Obama and prevail in the end.

Indeed, she did win a number of late primaries to keep it somewhat close. It wasn't until early June that she finally tossed in the towel. And I think that was only after the super delegates started to abandon her once it became clear she was not going to surpass Obama on pledged (won) delegates.

It will be interesting to see what the super delegates decide to do should Bernie continue to do well in the final primary contests. It will not be good optics for the Democrats to see her drag her sorry ass into the convention for her "coronation" having lost something like 15 of the last 20 primary contests.

Plus, Bernie clearly has the younger crowd - the future of the Democratic Party - in his pocket. The Democrats aren't going to want to see them tempted by Trump in November. The Democrats are already losing a large percentage of white working-class males to Trump, leaving her mostly with an aging base of Baby Boomer women.
