Did you know that six speed Tremac trans is made in China? It takes a while to get used to. Getting it into reverse is “fun”.

Did not know that, but not surprised.

They used to be made in Mexico.

I know a lot of auto components have taken the journey from USA mfg to Mexico mfg to China mfg. China taking jobs from Mexico exacerbated our illegal influx problem.

Now I’m seeing smaller China stuff that has moved on to Vietnam and Indonesia continuing to seek lowest labor costs. The bigger stuff that is heavily tooled takes longer to move.

Did not know that. I’ve had no trouble with reverse.
