In actuality, the quicker it happens the better the odds that it will be just as quickly reversed. It’s the slow creep that allows people time to adjust that we must fear.
Speaking of creeping, I suspect that Obama’s politics was a jump too far too early. As such, it may be partially or completely reversed. As a friend is fond of saying, for every political action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
We’ve had that system in the US now for decades (affirmative actions that transfers wealth, opportunity and jobs to preferred ethnic minorities and women), and now some areas have no more WASPs to run or fix anything - and it shows.
