I have also heard about people who were in remote areas who used their pressure cooker as storage....cooked the stew, then put it under pressure until the next day. Sounds like a good idea.

A stove and water heater use a ton of propane.
In a SHTF situation, and even in normal times, an RV fridge uses practically none.
One 4 gallon tank will last for months and run the fridge/ freezer. But, a camper also provides a roof and bed.
