I believe you’re correct to a point..... BUT. I often take long trips with friends and family....we talk. Too much talk sometimes. I find no difference with a phone.

I have witnessed texting swerving much more than simple calls. My new explorer was rear ended and totaled at a light by a distraught lover in a work truck who was texting furiously to get his girlfriend back. The cop was too put out to confiscate the phone.... I let his insurance handle it. But my wife was in bad shape for weeks.

No. I talk on phones.....hands free... I personally have no problems doing this as I can walk and chew gum at the same time.

I pull over to dial the number, then set the phone in my lap and continue to drive again. I need a phone holder on the door--sometimes, it slips off my lap.
