I have a doggie door, they free-feed and have several sources of water, they stay home alone with someone checking on them every few days.
If I had a doggie door I’d probably come home to a black bear trashing my house.
I don’t trust mine to be there. She plays like she’s as dumb as a rock when we’re around, but I suspect that she’s a master escape artist. Plus, she’d probably get run over by a car...and I couldn’t deal well with that.
