That’s why I drive a POS. People cringe when I park next to them. They know I don’t GAS what happens to it.
Years ago something similar happened to me too. Brand new truck, and not 12 hrs after I bought it someone backed into it in a parking lot. Dented the rear bumper and took out a tail-light - and they left, hit and run. I hope karma choked the living s**t out of them. Maybe they saw the temporary tag in the back window and realized I’d have choked them out if I had caught them.
