Voted for Trump in the primary. But I Like Cruz.....he is a pure conservative constitutional lawyer.

Here is the thing. Cruz is HATED by the beltway republicans in both houses because he doesn’t cow tow to the RINOs. He is NOT a beltway guy. People here at FR loved the guy. Now that he is running against Trump (I repeat....I voted for Trump in the primary and will again in the general) he is now poison. It’s a political race..... Cruz has done everything for conservatives while he’s been in the senate.

Save the venom for Hillary or Bernie or Biden(if Hillary is indicted) or whomever is the enemy running against us.

” Cruz has done everything for conservatives while he’s been in the senate.”

Exactly what has he done?

I voted for Cruz in the primary. But a few things Cruz has done since plus the back door effort to ignore the voters has put me in the Trump camp. I agree he is a conservative, but what else is he?

It’s not only because Cruz is running against Trump. Ihe has also done some pretty sleazy things since Iowa. A lot actually. After claiming to be the most conservative and most Christian candidate. And then his actions are the opposite of that.

I liked him until he penned that op Ed with Paul Ryan on TPP. It was downhill after that his vote for TPA was it. His entire campaign is a sham. He ignored the South thinking he didn’t have to campaign here

Ted is a fraud

It’s not that he’s running against Trump, it’s that he has abandoned all principles to do so. He outright lies about all of Trumps positions, he makes deals to screw the voters out of a say, then brags about it, etc. The final straw for a lot of people here was when he blamed Trump for the organized leftwing anti-Trump riot in Chicago, parroting Hillary’s talking point that “Trump created a climate of violence”, when the left has been shutting down speech they don’t like for decades. Since then every time he opens his mouth it’s “Donald...” followed by a deliberate lie like, “Donald want’s to gut the 2nd amendment.” Every time he does he digs himself deeper into the pit he’s in. And that in turn tells us that he never was what we thought he was to start with.

NO. We will call out him for the FAKE, FRAUD, PHONY that he is, backed up by FACT AFTER FACT AFTER FACT AFTER FACT.

We will NOT save our words for Hillary. There are plenty words to go around, calling out the COLLUSION between the parties, the UNIPARTY of which Cruz is a thoroughly entrenched and willing member.

You are wasting your time doing the Elitist’s bidding, posting the same old lies which have been shown not to be true by more articulate posters than me.

It’s time to recognize the obvious, and move forward toward America’s Restoration, which will not come with the help of Dems, GOPe, RINOs, who are all the same, the Establishment.
They will NOT willingly relinquish power. When have communists/tyrants ever done so?

First step: Recognize the Tyrant, who comes in all shapes, sizes, and occupations.

Agreed.

I just don't get it.

Boehner calling Cruz "Lucifer", Romney calling Trump every pejorative he can muster--when do these guys ever talk that way about Democrats?

It’s not venom cowboy, it’s the truth. The distrust for Cruz has been well earned.

By intentionally suspending your beliefs, you can ignore the truth of how Senator Cruz created, supported, and advocated for Trade Promotion Authority (TPA). An advocate cannot claim a position fundamentally disconnected from reality without intentionally desiring to do so.

This is an insightful key point into the deep dishonesty of Ted Cruz. Cruz says he has always been against Obamatrade yet he campaigned to enable it with TPA. Those actions are incompatible. Only a slick lawyer career politican would try that type of flim flam. TPA is where he lost most of his original support who have a conscious and a strong mind.

I think many people here would have been inclined to agree with you if you posted that a month ago.

Now that it is clear that Cruz is mathematically eliminated from a first ballot victory and that Trump is on glide path to achieving the 1237 majority, it's time for Cruz to step aside and support our presumptive nominee. That would have immediately disarmed most of Cruz's critics and we could all focus on defeating Shrillary. And Cruz would go on to fight another day (he's only 45 years old and has many election cycles ahead of him).

But not only did Cruz not step aside but he doubled down and took the unprecedented step of choosing a running mate when he has no path to a first ballot win! Not to mention that slimy, apparently short-lived deal with Kasich to split up the remaining states with a view to denying Trump the majority he needs for a first ballot win.

Cruz appears hell-bent on forcing a contested convention and ripping the party apart. He apparently does not realize that even if there was a contested convention, the GOPe establishment would definitely not choose him as a compromise candidate.

Ted Cruz has badly tarnished his brand these past few weeks and may not recover.
