I agree with that, but please explain “La Raza”.
Once you have a large enough population of mixed races to have a stable genome you could almost call it a new race. Some do.
However Mexico is peculiar. At the top of society and politics you will find much more caucasian ancestry. The bottom of society in Mexico are the Indians. The top of society selects mates that are mostly white. The Indians have little choice. The majority of Mexico in the middle are very interbreed with indians and do represent a stable genome.
ps Racism is alive and well in Mexico. My wife (Mexican from Mexico) is darker than her sisters. Her sisters were much more socially acceptable in Mexico than she, because of skin shade. She became an engineer here in the United States and went to our schools while her father paid out of country tuition. She came her legally and did it the right way.
