The average Trump person around here is the proverbial, "Mad as hell!" and seeing red. I think it is as simple as that.
Plus many of us have read Trumps two policy books and his position papers
Heidi and Trd are at least as ambitious and callous as Bill and Hill
Personally I saw the train wreak of a country that GWB created for us. I expected more of the same out of his brother. I never expected a nationalist like Trump to step and run.
I've known for a while know that all the issues we care are mealiness unless A) we close the border and send them home and B) bring back manufacturing to this country. I see the moral decadence and decay everywhere I go, but we can't vote our way out of it without a working middle class the removal the endless supply new Democrat voters. Trump is far from my ideal candidate. I'd prefer someone willing to destroy the progressive culture that's poisoning this country but Trump hasn't said a word about that. But given that only 2 issues matter and we're headed for a civil war if we don't reform then he's got my full support. This is why stuff like Trannies in the bathroom and arguments about abortion barley register with me. They simply don't mater given the demographics changes that are being forced on us.
I would accept that as a fair characterization of why this former Cruz guy is now in Trump's camp.
“Another great surprise is the level of pro-Trump opinion on conservative, libertarian, anti-government, Free Republic.”
“The average Trump person around here is the proverbial, ‘Mad as hell!’ and seeing red. I think it is as simple as that.”
I think it is not as simple as that - and I think you are simple to think so.
I am a lifelong philosopher, an ordained minister, and a member of Mensa, and I will now say what is starting to make me mad: the condescending attitude (too often accompanied by ad hominem attacks, and pejorative nicknames) of those who think they are so much more truly conservative, yet who do not see that conserving the Constitution, in the form of Article II on a Natural-Born Citizen, and conserving the Nation, in the form of actually enforcing our border security, is as fundamentally - and crucially - conservative as it gets.
Your comment is so spurious and non-substantive, I conclude that you are representative of the average Cruz person.
Yeah, we’re angry, aren’t you?
But pretending it’s anger and we’re blind is the kind of condescension that has gotten your candidate such low polling numbers and so few votes.
Most of us were one time Cruz supporters, but found a better candidate. A candidate with more substance, and with the capacity to beat the democrat / media complex.
We prefer leaders.
