To: Tell It Right
Trump is such a conservative he used eminent domain to take land from someone else to build a casino.

I misunderstood your comments and thought you supported Trump. I am astounded at the number of paleoconservatives that do so.

Conservatives in government dont seem to be getting much done, other than going along to get along with the Dems. Conservatives not in government want to give Trump a chance to achieve a few things that benefit America and Americans, which they believe he can do.We've seen decades of what conservative can do...I've had my fill of conservatives...They need to sit down and shut up so we can make America first again...

Yeah, we’re angry, aren’t you?
But pretending it’s anger and we’re blind is the kind of condescension that has gotten your candidate such low polling numbers and so few votes.
Most of us were one time Cruz supporters, but found a better candidate. A candidate with more substance, and with the capacity to beat the democrat / media complex.
We prefer leaders.

To: newgeezer
The liberal wing of the R party has won again. Cruz can’t beat Trump at this point. And Trump will do his best Dick Nixon imitation ushering in policies that the left never dreamt an R POTUS would shephard through a balless and clueless Congress. That’s if Trump beats Hillary which is no sure thing.

"Threats"? What threats?
Our home page still says, "Free Republic is the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web." Dr. Sowell is still recognized as a conservative voice, no? Now, if this thread is deleted, I'll take that as proof that we're all in for Mr. Trump, and I'll not post any more dissenting opinion to be debated. And, we'll have to look elsewhere for any reasoned response to Dr. Sowell and others who share his opinions.
(However, if defeating Hillary is the purpose for prohibiting dissension, shouldn't ALL Republicans be protected from negativity? What happens if the nominee is someone else?)
Well, I wouldn't characterize it as "threats". More like "whining"...
