Hope you enjoy. The Most Beautiful Girl
music *ping*
I had a friend, Fred, that was Rich’s drummer and had to go get a second job to support his family because Charlie was drunk and couldn’t perform much too often.
SEXIST SONG!
Did anyone ever see the Saturday Night Live SKIT ABOUT 'WHAT IF' Superman had landed in Nazi Germany?
John Belushi as Marlon Brando playing Superman's father from Krypton said:
Jor-El: [ appearing ] My Son. My Son. I am your father, Jor-El. Your mother and I have sent you to Earth the only survivor of Krypton. As you hear this, I will have been dead many centuries, but I will reborn as Charlie Rich. On the planet Earth you have special powers and knowledge, which will separate you from mankind. Use these powers only for good, and above all you must never tamper with the destiny of man. And don't eat junk food. [ disappears ]
Does Charlie Rich really look like Marlon Brando that much?
I cannot think about Charlie Rich with thinking about Edwin Edwards. He loved Behind Closed Doors. HA HA !
Ha! Never saw it, but now I want to.
Will never forget that song!
Now that is my kind of music.

Great selections. Conlee’s “Lady Lay Down” is a favorite.
Well, Charlie and Edwin were both know as the “Silver Fox.”
One of mine too. I was a bare teen when Elvis hit the scene. Never got into the hippie rock stuff.

Thanks for the link. I enjoyed his comeback album in 1989, “Mystery Girl”.
Remember when the 3 leading ladies of 1987 teamed up and produced the album the Trio?

My favorite off the album was Farther Along

I do remember. I had that album on cassette and wore it out!
We still have it on vinyl. Hubby never throws away music. Which was transferred to cassette, now MP3 on USB so we can have the music we like when we travel. LONG drive from Memphis to Niagara Falls area where his older 90 year old brother lives.
I wore out the 45’s of Elvis. Then some one stole my stash of 45’s. Broke all my grandmom’s 78’s.

Thsnks for the link.
This song was written by a local man, while it was OK it was not as perfect as it could have been music wise.
He played in E Flat most of the time.
Late Hubby reconfigured the music. Unseen Hands https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vglcOIAccaY
This one has just had the tempo and some additional effects added.
