I was thinking firecrackers in a personal mail box..... That's what I was thinking. A stupid kid threw some lady-finger firecrackers in a rural delivery mailbox.
From the look of remnants of that US Postbox, that was a very large pipe bomb. Those postboxes are heavy gauge steel.
