To: Do the math
The earth’s magnetic field is very weak, it can only move a little needle in a compass. On average it is about 0.4 G, hell I have a small magnet that is about 100 G. Now CERN is capable of creating an enormous magnetic field. However, there is nothing to worry about, mainly because of the weakness of the earth’s field. If you had a pipe wrench in your hands and they turned on CERN, it would fly out of your hand. CERN's magnetic field is orders of magnitude greater than the earth’s field.
