On one hand I think that offering citizenship to those who have served honorably is a worthwhile endeavor. On the other hand, this could lead to a military made up almost exclusively of foreign fighters and this is very dangerous.

We don't need to recruit illegal aliens to serve. Service is a privilege and an honor. We are now downsizing the military forcing tens of thousands of servicemen out. We have plenty of Americans and legal immigrants who can serve.
There is a program to expedite citizenship for legal immigrants who serve. This I can support.
