I used to be a Cruz fan, now I’m not because of his actions, but I’m not a Trump fan either because he makes me want to vomit.

Hardly. But we are in campaign mode now. And the point is that in campaign mode, you don't allow talk that goes against your candidate. This is no different than a company's public relations office wanting to tightly control the message coming out of the company.
