Well, well, well .....
Spouting those Trump talking points dies not make them true. Please provide examples of “ lying, back stabbing, and name calling”.
And speaking of name calling, I assume you support the king of name calling and insults. Do I detect a bit of hypocrisy?
I don't have a clue why you would say such a thing?
Well, for me it's because every forum is becoming the religion forum now. There is a now large percentage of freepers incapable of formulating a thought or holding an idea outside the context of religion. It wasn't always like this.
I share youroncern for FR, though not for the same reason. It used to be able to carry on an intelligent, educational, and civil discussion of conservative issues. Nowadays, FR has descended into a forum full of vile, undulating, and ridiculous postings that offer little redeeming value.
Hopefully, after this primary season ends, FR will return to its conservative roots right now it us almost unbearable.
Good news. Your problem with FR has been solved.
bye.

Considering that you are a Cruz supporter, your argument seems unusual. In my experience here most of the discussions seem to be “outside the context of religion”. I am truly confused by your observation.
I'm aware that the Old Testament required tithing, but am not aware that the New Covenant (when Christians became possible) required it - could you point it out for me?
Even Christians can exhibit sinful/seedy characteristics and still be saved and bound for Heaven - doesn't mean they can't be hypocrites, etc. His Love and Forgiveness is greater than the best of us - if we accept Him as Lord and Savior.
Even Paul, who had met the risen Christ and then became one of the biggest carriers of the Word, lamented that he found himself doing things he would not so (sinful acts) and not doing things he would do (passing up opportunities for good works). No doubt in my mind he was saved and is in Heaven despite his continued human frailties as far as sinfulness goes.
Did your wife answer?
“Trump did not hold that ‘put together in 24 hours’ fundraiser out of Christian goodness.”
You have no proof of that whatsoever.
Face it—Cruz has lost. At this point he is staying in the race to split the party and give the White House to Hillary, which he and his GOPe masters are perfectly fine with.
No real conservative supports that.
So, I take it that Christians are now supposed to judge other Christians based upon how much money they donate to “the Church” ...ie organized religion?
Another 'lesser evil'?
No. I'm done with lesser evils. This one only donated to the 'greater evil', so that makes him lesser?
Really?
He fled the field, and it wasn't the last time, just this time he used an unassailable cause, and created a conflicting event after the schedule was known, then claimed it wasn't out of cowardice. IMHO, he hid behind wounded vets. I hope they collect all of the money donated/pledged, and that would be the other good thing to come out of it.
Since you used the word "tithes" then the answer to your question is "yes". If you replace the word "tithes" with "money", the answer would be "no".
It takes money to run any ministry. However, compulsory tithing is of the law. Christianity is not about keeping the law! Being a cheerful giver and giving as the Holy Spirit leads is how we are directed as New Testament Believers.
So the Holy Spirit leads teddy to be an non-giver. The Holy Spirit and most voters have a very low opinion of teddy.
