When Donald Trump spoke earlier this week in Buffalo, media critics lambasted him for allegedly confusing 9/11 with 7/11. However, a theory emerged as to why Trump didnt misspeak, one that the media refuses to acknowledge.
The controversy all began Monday, as Trump was speaking before a crowd in Buffalo on the day before the New York primary. During the speech, he touted his 9/11 activism.
I wrote this out, and its very close to my heart, Trump said to the audience. Because I was down there and I watched our police and our firemen down at 7/11, down at the World Trade Center right after it came own. And I saw the greatest people Ive ever seen in action.
Donald Trump, who has made his advocacy for New York City after the 9/11 attacks central to his candidacy, accidentally referred to it on Monday as 7/11 the ubiquitous convenience store, CNN wrote with scarcely contained glee.
However, a new theory quickly emerged the fact that he was actually talking about the Greenville Fire Department, a department in the New York town of Scarsdale that was one of the first to respond to the 9/11 attacks.
The station is known as 711 because of its address, 711 Central Park Ave. And as one Facebook user close to the situation pointed out, the firefighters there were quoted as thanking Trump for his generous donations of time, services and goods, both for the firefighters and for the victims. And keep in mind, the way Donald phrased things made it sound a lot more like he was talking about a location, not a date. His words were our firemen down at 7/11, not our firemen on 7/11.

New Yorkers undoubtedly knew. Press? Clueless.
".......go ahead Hilda, tell us again where Chelsea was on 9/11"
President Trump is going to need one hell of a verbal clean-up crew.
Being from the area, I doubt this. Scarsdale is a good 15 miles north of NYC. That particular fire station wouldn’t have been on Trump’s radar ALL the Westchester County fire fighters were called to duty that day, including Scarsdale, yes, but they were all called to downtown NYC. NYC was in command. It wasn’t as if Scarsdale was in any way running the operation.
This is always what they do with Trump. They waste time and hours trying to find something to criticize him for to make him look stupid.
In the end it is they who look stupid and petty.
RECENT INTERNET CHATTER HAS LINKED GREENVILLE FIRE DISTRICT TO A COMMENT MADE BY A POLITICAL CANDIDATE.
PLEASE NOTE: GREENVILLE FIRE DISTRICT IS NEVER REFERRED TO, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, AS "711".

The media, predictably, pounced on Trumps remarks.

Lol. Nathan’s for the article
“he baited,they bit,he set the hook.....well done!”
I wonder if Donald is a fly fisher. He knows how to sucker his opponents into striking at his cast flies and turn that into his advantage.
Where are these kind of stories about Cruz? No, he was a creepy bathrobe wearing jackass in college. FUMSM.
Oh, who died and made them God about how people speak of them?
Not only that, she thinks there are still two Vietnams, North and South.
How many people in D.C. and in the media have publicly made complete asses out themselves or were simply 100% wrong or flat out lied? I’d guess a whole lot.
So of your post is correct, those on this thread laughing at “Cruzbots” for being baited, have in fact been baited themselves?
If they were 15 miles away as you say and they were working for hours down in the mess, wouldn’t they need food and water and supplies. ( 15 miles from their station house) I thought I read that Trump sent his people from the Trump Tower with food from there along with drinks quite often. I believe his employees were sent to help out at times too.
Well, did he have a slight Indian accent? If not, he couldn’t have been referring to the ubiquitous convenience store.
Mrs. Submaeener coined RICSAS back in the day when we worked in the Intelligence Community.
<< “And the pattern repeats: Trump says something, people Run in Circles Scream And Shout (RICSAS), some people actually think about it, and decide Trump was correct!” >>
LOL! Absolutely full circle correct.
First comes glee followed by feigned harrumphing, followed by oh, $&I+, TRUMP not only is correct, but also knows the NYC neighborhood like he was raised there! Imagine that.
Thanks for posting this!
