Rape can be accomplished with many things other than a penis. Allowing people who just a few years ago were classified as mentally ill (by AMA and APA) into your close space is just nuts.
I have one here at work and I carry everyday in the office since this nut job is on quite the cocktail of hormones you cannot tell who shows up from one day to the next.
I’m glad you can carry at work. Many businesses do not allow firearms at work. I worked for the federal government and we couldn’t.
Having worked in a similar situation as you with a nut job, it is very unsettling. Stay safe.
As I already stated, this is THEIR problem, not ours. We need to be protected by our employers, and the establishments we do business with FROM these fringe people. It all has to do with safety.
The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few.
This is not to say that I have no compassion for these people, I just do not want to take ownership of their problems, or subject my loved ones to them, if I can help it.
