Windows 10 keeps popping up a message in the SysTray, trying to tell me that Windows Firewall AND Webroot AV/Firewall are both disabled.
I have intentionally disabled Windows Firewall, but Webroot is fully up and actively protecting my system.
What's up with this Microsoft lie?
Is there any way to stop the fallacious popup?
Grrrr. But it sounds like you are a problem solver. Well done.
Yeah, I am in the ignore phase. I was hoping there was a way to keep it from popping up. Sounds like there isn’t.
I'm about to purchase a new computer that will likely have Win 10 (I'm on XP) and I have no idea about what you just said.......
LOL!
#20 Here is a plugin for the better menu layout.
Brings Back Familiar Menus and Toolbars to Microsoft Word 2010, 2013 and 2016
Classic Menu for Word (there is a link there for the whole Office program)

Well, what I mean by comparing Win 10 to Common Core is all the extra clicking around I'm having to do just to get down to the XP level of interface.
So far it's been a fun challenge to probe the depths of the beast.
Same problem with same software. I put w10 notifications in quiet mode and never look at them anymore - not a solution, but...
If you’re buying a new machine, go to HP.com or Dell.com or BestBuy.com or elsewhere and SPECIAL ORDER something with Windows 7.
If you can’t find anything new besides Win 10, ask the seller if you can get a (higher priced) version that you can DOWNGRADE to Win 7.
Or go to eBay.com for a used one, tons available, check out the feedback to be sure you’re buying from a reputable seller.
