Monica Lewinsky has described the public humiliation she suffered after her affair with President Bill Clinton was exposed as 'excruciating', and said it brought her 'very close' to attempting suicide.
The 42-year-old former White House intern became a household name after her friend Linda Tripp secretly recorded conversations with Lewinsky discussing the affair and passed them on.

One day she told him 'I have a crush on you' and he responded 'Well, do you want to come into the back office?'.

She recalls attending a press conference held a week before the launch of the 2002 HBO documentary, Monica In Black And White.
She said: 'A reporter told me he was surprised I'd agreed to take part in it. He said, "We expected you to crawl under a rock and die".

Publicly it appeared her parents ‘stuck by her’.
Actually I got the impression that ‘Mom’ was - or seemed to act - a little jealous of her ‘baby’ girl.
Also, the world continues to treat Linda Tripp as a Judas/Benedict Arnold/pariah, but she more than likely saved the clintoons another trip to a nearby highway turn off to stage another suicide of someone who turned rogue on the clintoons.
Of course Tripp will have to endure - for life - the title of ‘whistleblower on the blower’ but that is for another day.
Well, if you believe Clinton, (I don't) he doesn't regret it, because, according to him, he never had sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.
She behaved foolishly...the Clinton Crime Family (& Pals) behaved...well,criminally! Apologies? Far,far,far more apologies are owed *to* Monica than she might owe to others.But then,we know that being a Rat means never having to say you're sorry.

denying everything, blaming Billy's B/J on "an invention of
the VRWC." Bill later admitted to it, was impeached, and disbarred.
Pres Clinton was a tax-paid employee using tax -paid offices .....
but the sucker claimed it was his business what he did there.

Destroyed? Heck she’s made a ton of money exploiting what she did.
Well, I guess she blew it off.
In many ways “Ol Bill” played her for a sucker.
No matter how you look at it, Bill Clinton left a bad taste in her mouth.
Monica knew he was married, right?
Before she left LA for DC she told her friend she’s was going to get her “presidential kneepads.”
Stupid fool went on the hunt to tag the President of the US.
Love had nothing to do with it.
She had a great opportunity as a White House intern, but she blew it.
The problem was she was not a hooker, but an unpaid intern. It was odd that her father never stepped in to defent his daughter. Had Bernie Lewinski stepped up to the plate and demanded Clinton’s resignation, he may have salvaged what he could of his daughter’s reputation.
As it went, Bernie left his daughter as roadkill of the Clinton machine, and 20 years later her life is still a shambles. No man will go near her because the risk of humiliation is too great. In the twenty years since....how many potential suitors have there been knocking on her door? Only one that was willing to be named publicly, after that... nobody will go neat her.
Imagine bringing her home to meet mom and dad?
