So Cruz doesn’t want Italian American votes - not smart from a guy who pretends to be so smart.
I really do not think it will make much of a difference either way. Same with the New York values comment. That rolls of folks backs like water off a duck, few folks here in the Northeast are that thin skinned.
From what I see folks in the Northeast are voting against Cruz based on economic policy, not insults or perceived insults. Cruz may be good on immigration, but he really offers the working and salary class folks very little but the same old elitist free trade crap of the last 24 years.
I hate to say it but the second reason I think folks in the Northeast will not be voting for Ted Cruz relates to character. He is increasingly seen as both ruthlessly ambition driven and ...I hate to say it, but a shameless liar. The longer this battle goes on the harder folks are getting towards him, at least the Trump supporters. I am sure it goes the other way as well with Cruz supporters.
Fewer and fewer of the Trump fans want a Trump/Cruz ticket in 2016. Which is sad as the both these guys need to be on the ticket to secure the Republican base.
I very much fear folks are not looking long term. We need a united ticket on September 1, and neither Trump or Cruz on their own will provide that.
