Apparently the NHL rewrote the rules during the second intermission so that defenders can’t hit the puck carrier. The NHL officiating is crap.
Fehr! burns his old team! Yessss
Pens win! That was the only Godly outcome given how
evil the Caps are :-)
Eric Fehr was a Hershey Bear - and a Capital!
I never even heard of the Dallas Stars.
Obviously I don’t follow hockey and I’m so old that the The Original Six are the only ones I am familiar with.
I will now leave this thread. :-)
.
Bears won 2-1 tonight!
Too bad they face the WBS Penguins next.
Great win! Now we get baby Pens vs baby Caps ! I bet Doc Emerick mentions it on air.
I kind of like hearing Doc drop the Hershey reference all the time.

Now that the Bolts rudely dismissed my Wings, I’m a Bolts fan rooting them on to The Cup. I watch Bolts games regularly on SunSportsTV here in Central Florida.
Matt Murray steals one for us tonight. It’s good to have goal tending.
Fleury as a back up goalie?
Things are looking good for us!
Captitals @ Penguins - 8 PM (radio)

Yes, Drouin was a real hot shot for the Bolts. I don’t know what his problem was with the Bolts beyond his thumb injury but for some reason he wanted to be traded and GM Steve Yzerman (retired Red Wings star) accommodated him.
It was more than just goal tending....it bordered on magic. Pens were out shot by 2-1. Not many games you can win with those stats. Caps defense and passing in their own zone has been pathetic, but going to a more physical style seemed to slow the speed of the Pens down. Letang took a lot of hits and was rightfully pissed when no penalties were called. Can’t wait for game 4.
Drouin is a real talent and I am thrilled that he’s having a big impact in the playoffs, especially with all the injuries Tampa is dealing with. They desperately need speed and this guy has speed. There are lots of stories about why he was demoted and wanted a trade. Best I can tell is that he had an attitude and wasn’t getting along with the coach. Now that he’s scoring points, lots of points, it appears that he might have a career here after all. Hope so. The fans like him and he’s brought speed and scoring to a team that is missing Stamkos big time.
Listening to the sports talking heads around here you’d think the Pens lost that game. I thought they were fine and the tactic Crosby had of securing the win with a hundred icings was pretty smart.
Letang is out tomorrow but I think they can still win it unless the coach decides to dismantle Hagelin-Bonino-Kessel again. If he does, I hope somebody puts a shock collar on him a presses the button.
I plan to have a nice dinner near home then head to the game and be there in time for warmups.
Wasn’t Drouin sent to the minors even though he was playing well? Maybe I misremember that.
Steve Yzerman and/or the Bolts seem to have a penchant for pissing off some top players. It’s not a good characteristic in a GM.
The “Bones” line will stay intact. Count on it!
Sullivan has brought self-control to a group who is know (says Sully himself) by other teams as whiners and easily distracted.
This Penguins team is now a TEAM!
The defense will spread Tangers load and I expect the Capitals will be the ones who are drawn into dumb penalties, resulting in a win for the Pens.
