Actually, for the GOPe putting Ted Cruz at the top of the ticket would make sense for them long term. Cruz will surely lose to Hillary so they get rid of the black sheep member of the family, plus if the Cruz beatdown was horrendous they can pin the blame on conservatism, a la Barry Goldwater in 1964.
Agree. If Hillary beats Cruz, the GOPe stays in power and the senate can dump Cruz.
